On July 6th we participated in the Woolly Day event, centred in the Red Dragon Hall, Drefach Felindre. This event was organised to celebrate Drefach Felindre’s Village of Culture 2019 status.
Our stall provided information about the Natural Dye Garden at the National Wool Museum, with samples of fresh and dried plant materials, dyed samples of wool along with leaflets and our photobook. Drefach Felindre Gardening Club was also promoted with the 2019 programme and Horticultural Show schedule available.
Alongside the stall were articles dyed using natural dyes and the Llanwenog Sheep stand. Many other stalls in the hall provided opportunities for the public to try various crafts such as needle felting, spinning and peg loom weaving.
